Obviously weather appropriate clothing should be worn. Bring a spray jacket/umbrella if rain is forecast. Foot wear is up to the individual but sensible walking shoes if intending to do a guided walk, walking on the dunes barefoot is not recommended due to wooden slatted trails and sharp shells in the middens also the sand gets hot in summer.
