Captain Jock Veenstra

Jock began his career as a boat builder, learning his trade in the shipyards of Rotterdam. Bringing his trade back to Australia he built the largest ships to travel the River Murray including the “Murray Princess”. Jock skippers Gippsland and Miall Lakes cruises and Extended Murray River Cruises

Bain Pedler

Bain has been a with us since 1978, Captain of “Aroona 2”, “P.S. Mundoo”, “Spirit of the Coorong” and now “Spirit of the Murray”. Bain has been through the Goolwa Lock more times than anyone.

Lachlan Wauchope

Lachie start with us in 2016 as a guide and has recently gained his Master 5 certificate. So expect to see Lachie skippering more of our vessels in the years to come.


Michael Veenstra

3rd generation captain Michael has been working in the business since 1992. Michael is the operations manager and skippers “Spirit of the Murray”, “Maranui” and “Spirit of the Coorong”.

Dave Bowden

Dave has had an interesting career a former National Parks employee, Dave was once a Koala attendant at Cleland Gully Wildlife Park. Dave has been with us since 2013 and crews on Spirit of the Coorong.
